WITH A SLOTH
Close encounters with the sloth have an additional cost of €15.00 per person, which is entirely donated to research and conservation projects in the wild.
In 2024, Parco Zoo Punta Verde in Lignano Sabbiadoro continues to offer a very special experience: a close encounter with the sloth.
From 13 June to 28 September you can meet Fips, our very slow but very determined male sloth.
The encounters take place on the following days: Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm and Wednesday at 12pm.
Entry is limited to a maximum of 2 people at a time, accompanied by an expert from the Park’s education department, who will explain the main biological characteristics of this incredible species and its habitat, in order to understand its survival strategies and its famously slow pace.
Food enrichments will be placed to allow you to observe how skilfully and delicately Fips reaches for his food. Without disturbing the animals, participants will have the opportunity to come face to face with this incredible animal and to observe it from a decidedly privileged point of view, while also contributing to the conservation in the wild of all endangered animals.
• Minimum age: 8 years
• Clothing: we recommend closed-toe shoes
• Touching the animal is not permitted
• For logistical and safety reasons, it is not possible to enter with a wheelchair
